UIC COD is seeking full-time benefits eligible Marketing Associate to join our growing team.
The Marketing Associate will to work closely with the Director of Strategic Initiatives to uphold a brand voice and tonality for the College that is consistent with UIC’s brand standards. The marketing associate will be responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and communication tactics that strengthen the COD’s brand as a thoughtful leader in the field of dental education, research and patient care. The marketing associate will focus on strategic marketing tactics aimed at acquiring and retaining new patients/students.
Minimum Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations or a related field. One (1) year (12 months) of professional experience working in the advertising, promotions, public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field. Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast paced working environment, ability to work with frequent interruptions, is deadline driven, has excellent writing and communication skills, has the ability to understand and fulfill the needs of a variety of partners, and has a deep level of commitment to excellence and inclusion.
Candidate who possess the following knowledge are strongly encouraged to apply: knowledge of social media analytics, social media publishing tools, web analytics, and tracking technologies, knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services which includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, presentation software, spreadsheet software, video creation and editing software, web page creation and editing software, and analytical or scientific software.
