Allen Matkins Marketing Technology Manager reports directly to the firm's Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, but will work closely with Marketing and Business Development Managers, and Digital Marketing Manager to identify technology solutions for business development, and to lead related projects. This person will proactively support firm-wide business development and marketing technology initiatives and can be based in any of the firm's five California offices. Occasional travel to our offices in California may be required.
About the Position
The Marketing Technology Manager works in collaboration with the business development and marketing team, attorneys, and IT to grow client relationships and identify business opportunities. The Marketing Technology Manager will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and developing firm data that is utilized by products and applications that facilitate firm business processes and activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and administer the firm's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (Interaction):
Manage day-to-day functions of the CRM including: data quality, upgrades and maintenance, data storage and organization, user access, and training
Establish and maintain CRM guidelines and best practices
Manage lists and list management processes in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Manager
Manage reporting process (out-of-the box availability, as well as facilitating access to custom reports) for business development data
Supervise contracted data entry personnel
Oversee the integration between CRM and related integrated components, such as our ERM and email marketing software
Manage and administer the Business Development and Marketing Technology platforms:
Develop and maintain the strategic marketing technology road map; responsible for scoping and recommending new marketing technology solutions
Manage user accounts and permissions
Manage vendor relationships and track contracts
Partner with the Marketing and Business Development Managers/Coordinators, IT, and others to develop and deliver educational materials and training programs
Stay abreast of internal client data sources and manage integration into Marketing Technology platforms as needed
Collaborate and serve as a liaison between the IT and Marketing departments

To be considered, the candidate must have the following qualifications:
Experience administering a CRM system, preferably Interaction
Experience working with complex relational data management systems
Experience with SharePoint and PowerBI preferred
A proven ability to understand and interpret technical information and instructions and communicate that information to others
Team player and high performer
Professional, independent thinker with strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to offer constructive opinions and creative solutions
Willingness to "do what it takes" to get the job done. Ability to consistently meet short and long-term deadlines

Ability to work with and guide/educate marketers, attorneys, and staff in using technology

Education and/or Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, programming, marketing, communications, or related field and at least four years of experience executing/managing technology solutions in a marketing or business development environment, preferably in a professional services industry.
