Part Time Remote Position in Northern VA or the Washington DC Metro Area.
The Sales Support Associate will act as the Sponsor, Exhibitor and Advertising Liaison and assist with finding new sales leads. A successful candidate will possess strong customer service, relationship management, and organizational skills.
This position reports directly to the Senior Director, Sales & Advertising
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Act as Sponsor/Exhibitor/Advertising Liaison, to ensure all benefits are fulfilled
Make prospect calls to engage customers in new marketing opportunities
Coordinate exhibitor services for Annual Conference, including the exhibit service manual
Provide quality customer service, via timely communication with exhibitors, sponsors, and advertisers
Process exhibit contracts and prepare Exhibitor Letters of Agreement
Coordinate invoices with accounting and assist with collections
Assist in the preparation and on-site management of the exhibit hall at Annual Conference
Keep updated contacts and activities in database and sales force
DESIRED BACKGROUND/SUCCESS FACTORS:
2 years+ of experience in sales or association event/trade show environment preferred
Must be organized, able to multi-task and possess a strong attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Collaborative nature and works well within a team-oriented environment
Upbeat energy, enthusiasm, and outgoing demeanor
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box
Strong attention to detail and timely follow up
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with a2z floor plan and Sales Force preferred
HOURS:
This is a part-time position.
Flexible schedule 15-20 hours per week
Limited travel; including Annual Conference and occasional trips to headquarters in CT
